Photo Manipulation and Ethics

A) Media managers struggle with the idea of "product validity" due to photoshop and other editing software. Professional photographers are no longer needed in order to take a newsworthy pictures.

B) The photographers for the Washington post and New York times are given harsh guidelines on how to shoot and edit their pictures.

C) I feel to change the small details like lighting and or color would be acceptable, but changing the over all meaning of the picture is wrong.

D) I feel that this photo is the most unethical because they changed the meaning of the picture. I say this because this picture is a historical picture and need to be kept original.









E) I feel that this photo is the least unethical. I say this because they didn't really change the photo the just manipulated the aspect ratio of the photo from a horizontal image to a vertical.
