The Camera:
1. Explain what the "camera obscura" effect.  How is it achieved?
The hole would act like a lens and project light on to the opposite wall up side down.

2. What invention during the 17th Century helped a man get a step closer to creating the modern camera?
In the 17 Century Issac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the art of optics and learned how to make a high quality glass lens.

3. What were the parts of the first modern camera made by Niepce? 
The camera was made out of a glass lens, a dark box, and film.

4. What do modern digital cameras have in common with the Niepce's camera?
Digital cameras and Niepce's camera is that a camera is still a camera.

5. What do digital cameras use to capture an image?
Digital cameras use digital film to capture the picture.

Camera Modes:
6.What is the difference between audio mode and program mode?
In program you can control the flash.

7. What is the portrait mode used for? And how does it work?
You would use it to blur out the background of a photo. It also uses the fastest lens setting to do that.

8. What is the sports mode used for? How does it work?
To freeze motion, the camera will use the fastest shudder time possible.

9. What does the photographer have to do in manual mode?
When you use manual mode you have to focus manually and get the exposer just right with out a camera mode.

The Half Press:
10. Why should you half press on the trigger button?
It will lock the focus and will allow you to  have a faster full press response.

Controlling Flash
11. What does this symbol mean and when do you use it?
It means no flash and you use it in the case where you don't want the flash to be on.

12. What does this symbol mean and when do you use this?
It means auto flash and it will automatically use the flash when it thinks the camera needs more light.

Into to Exposure:
13. What happens to the photo if there is to much light?
The picture will be washed out.

14. What happens to the photo is there is not enough light?
The picture will be to dark.

The Universal Stop:
15. What is a "stop"
A stop is a relative measurement of light.

16. How many stops brighter is the new planet if there are two suns instead of one?
It's one stop brighter.

17. How many stops brighter is the new planet if there are four suns instead of two?
It's two stops brighter.

Sutters and Aperture:
18. What effect does a longer shutter speed have?
You will get more light.

19. What effect does a shorter shutter speed have?
You will get less light.

20. What does the aperture control?
It allows the light to ether pass or not pass.

21. When increasing the aperture how can you increase the amount of light?
If you make the openings larger then more light will pass through.
